A live experiment — Denver, Colorado
Nexus1 is the experiment that finds out.
Seven builders. One idea. Six months to first revenue.
The Experiment
Seven sharp builders meet in Denver every two weeks with one mandate:
surface the best ideas in the room, commit to the one worth building, and take it to a paying customer.
One cohort. One idea. One clock. Either it ships or it doesn't — and both outcomes get documented,
because both are an answer to the question.
How It Works
The Hunt
Sessions one through three, the room investigates ideas through one filter: is the problem real, will someone pay, and does this room have an unfair advantage in solving it. Ideas that can't name a customer don't survive.
The Decision
Session four: final pitches and a vote. Five of seven locks the idea. Once locked, it doesn't reopen. Everyone commits — including the people who voted against it.
The Build
Every session after the vote is a working session. Owners named, deliverables due, no drift.
The Finish Line
First dollar from a stranger. Six months from decision night. Hard stop.
A Real Hearing
Every idea presented at Nexus1 gets the same treatment: dedicated time in front of the room, sharp questions
from people qualified to ask them, and a direct verdict against the filter.
Nothing dies in silence, and nothing survives on charm.
If your idea wins the vote, seven capable people build it with you. If it doesn't, you'll know exactly why —
and you'll own an equal piece of the one that does. That's the trade: you give up the guarantee that it's
your idea. You gain a room that treats every idea like it might be the one.
Who Belongs
We're selecting for builders — people with evidence, not aspirations. You've shipped
something, sold something, or run something. You can argue a position and lose gracefully. You're willing to
work relentlessly on an idea that isn't yours, because you'd expect the same if it were.
Engineers who can build. Operators who can execute. Sellers who can close. And at least one person whose
job is to attack the consensus.
The Stake
Equal equity for every member still in the room at first revenue — agreed in writing before a single idea is pitched, so the vote is about the best idea, not whose idea it is.
